Ambience galore
Mabel’s has the best ambience of any place we have stayed. It really is a special place. Comfortable. Charming. Great outlook. The freshly baked bread on the table was wonderful. We are looking forward to coming back.

Thanks for everything. The attention to detail was amazing, freshly baked bread, flowers and wine in the fridge. What more could you ask for. A great location and close to lots of good beaches and places to see.

What an Experience
Hi Richard and Neil What a wonderful 3 night we had staying at the Mabel’s. The heaters were on on our arrival and freshly baked bread on the table for us. Best home made bread I have tasted. Thank you 😃👍 This is a rear and special place to stay. Very handy to Cafes and restaurants. So cosy at nights with the log fire going and to wake up to the beautiful view of the sea and birds singing. A must stay Great hosts

Mabel’s is pretty special and that is coming from someone who lives on the water in a cottage already – so a bit spoilt. It’s in a great location not far from town and gets the sun till late. We really enjoyed being there. It’s so clean and pretty on the inside and really comfortable. R an N are great hosts, thinking of bringing them back down to welly to look after us here and bake. Will recommended to anyone. You won’t be disappointed.

What a truly wonderful experience – staying a Mabel’s cottage is like discovering a little piece of kiwi magic. Historic, homely and a fantastic location. All the thoughtful extras like the freshly baked bread, herbs and even biscuits for the dog! made us feel right at home. Sorry to have missed you also, but thank you so much for making our stay at Mabel’s such a delightful experience. Mabel’s to us was such a wonderful place to stay – the furniture the pottery and many other things were exactly the sort of decor I love. The bread you baked was delicious and thank you for the flowers when we arrived. It was thoughtful of you to provide us with a connection to the internet and I will enquire about purchasing my own this week as we would be able to use it at many places we travel to…it just makes things a lot easier with keeping in touch.
